2017 Head of the Brisbane
Event information
Dear Dragons,
The time has come for Brisbane's answer to the Head of the Yarra, the Head of the Brisbane! If you are interested in competing in a head race which is less than half the distance of the Head of the Tweed, then please register via the link below by 15th September. Race day is 14th October so I'll be looking to get crews together lickity split.
The course starts at Toowong Rowing Club which is located just down the road from The University of Queensland and continues for 4.5km upstream at which point each crew executes a hairpin turn and then rows 4.5km back to the finish line which is across the river from Toowong Rowing Club. Upon completion of the race, all crews will be able to enjoy fine food and music by the river before collecting their medals.
More information about this event can be found at the following website:

Details of the course can be found at the following link:

An important thing to note is that, unlike the Head of the Yarra, competitors are able to row in any boat category! I've attached the event flyer to this event page.
Kind regards,
John Dickson
Club Captain
P.S. Please don't rely on me to collect your bow number! It didn't turn out so well last year...
