A fun introduction to the skills and knowledge of rowing.  The program covers all basics, from the equipment used, how to handle it on and off the water, as well as ergo and on water sculling/sweep technique.

Rowing is a highly technical sport that requires months of dedicated technique training and a moderate to high level of fitness and personal discipline. Rowing is not a sport that can be learned quickly.  A LTR course will give you the basics required to progress to the next level of development.

All participants will have the opportunity to learn both sweep and scull technique.  You will be coached by a team of Level 1 and Level 2 certified coaches.

Expected outcomes from the course:

  • Water safety/ navigating the river/ Safety positions
  • Basic Rowing sequence
  • Rowing Terminology
