2017 Head of the Tweed
Details
Event information
Dear Dragons,
Test yourself! Or just enjoy a leisurely 21km row up the Tweed River!
Given how fast time has been moving, the 2017 Head of the Tweed which will be taking place on 18th June will be here before we know it. As such, the time has come for us to decide if we'd like to participate and the boats in which we'd like to complete the event. Registration must be done via Revolutionise. Ideally, it'd be great if everyone who is interested in participating in the Head of the Tweed would register by 26th March so that we can look at getting everyone into crews and training together at least twice per week.
Also, to get an idea of just how far 21km is, go to Woody Point on the Redcliffe Peninsula and look towards the Port of Brisbane.....then add 5km! Fear not, though, because WillyWeather is predicting a low tide at Chinderah at 8:54am which means that the Force, sorry, tide will be with us throughout the event. A map of the course has been attached to this event page.
Boat loading for this event will be at 5:30pm on 17th June. The reason for loading in the afternoon instead of the morning is so we don't clash with the St. Margeret's rowers and coaches.
